The Jewelry Designer is responsible for designing commercially successful, trend-driven jewelry collections that align with YVIS’s brand identity.

This role blends creativity with strong business understanding, creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also wearable, producible, and sellable at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Design & Development

• Design jewelry collections including rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and related accessories aligned with YVIS brand DNA
• Translate concepts into sketches, technical drawings, and CAD designs
• Ensure designs are practical for mass production in terms of cost, durability, and wearability
• Balance aesthetics with functionality, including comfort, weight, and clasp usability

2. Trend Research & Concept Creation

• Stay up to date with global fashion and jewelry trends
• Conduct competitor and market research
• Develop mood boards, concepts, and collection themes
• Propose new product ideas regularly, including seasonal launches and best-seller extensions

3. Sampling & Iteration

• Work closely with the Sourcing & Production team to develop samples
• Review prototypes and refine designs based on feedback
• Solve design issues related to structure, finishing, and stone setting
• Reduce sampling rounds by making strong upfront design decisions

4. Technical & Production Alignment

• Prepare design specifications including materials, dimensions, and finishing details
• Collaborate with factories to ensure accurate execution
• Ensure designs meet quality standards and cost targets
• Adjust designs when necessary based on production limitations

5. Commercial Awareness

• Design with target pricing and margins in mind
• Analyze best-selling products and customer preferences
• Support product strategy across core items, trends, and limited drops
• Contribute to increasing AOV and conversion through product design

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with:
• • Creative team (campaign visuals and styling direction)
  • Marketing team (product storytelling)
  • Merchandising team (product mix and launch planning)
• Support photoshoots with styling input and product selection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
• 1–5+ years of experience in jewelry or accessory design (fashion jewelry preferred)
• Strong design sense with a commercial mindset
• Proficiency in design tools such as Illustrator, Rhino, Matrix, or similar software
• Understanding of materials, plating, stone setting, and production processes
• Ability to work quickly and manage multiple collections or product drops
